Based on a true story it is the story of a relationship between a married woman and a Catholic Priest as witnessed through the eyes of a young boy and how he dealt with it. It takes place in the 1960’s at which time the Church had undisputed power. The book does a good job of retaininng the flavor and tone of that era. At times it’s funny. At times it’s sad. But it’s always intense and will leave the reader questioning the Church’s position on celebicy for it’s Priests.
