Hello everyone, I am Phil Stephens, a new author from Brown County, in southern Indiana. I just finished my first novel called The Altar Boy.

Based on a true story, it is the story of a relationship between a married woman and a Catholic priest as witnessed through the eyes of a young boy and how he dealt with it.  It takes place in the 1960s at which time the Church had undisputed power.  The book does a good job of retaining the flavor and tone of that era. At times it’s funny.  At times it’s sad.  But it’s always intense and will leave the reader questioning the Church’s position on celibacy for its priests.
